A tempestade : o adeus de Shakespeare ao teatro

Abstract

O presente trabalho irá analisar a peça A Tempestade, de William Shakespeare, buscando identificar elementos que fazem referência à biografia do autor, mais especificamente ao momento em que Shakespeare se retira voluntariamente do trabalho artístico. A Tempestade será estudada sob o ponto de vista de que ela seria a última peça escrita por William Shakespeare e de que nela estaria refletida a complexa relação entre o autor e a sua produção artística. _______________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

This essay will examine the play The Tempest by William Shakespeare, seeking to identify elements that make reference the author's biography, more specifically to the moment when Shakespeare voluntarily withdraws from the artwork. The study of The Tempest will depart from the point of view that this is the last play written by William Shakespeare and, as so, it reflects the complex relationship between the author and his artistic production.
