| dc.description.abstract | Esta monografia aborda teorias que apresentam questões relacionadas à “sobrecarga de
informação” na Internet e seus efeitos na produção intelectual, além de estabelecer um
panorama de conceitos que demonstram como ocorre a explosão informacional. A
proposta é compreender como funcionam os conteúdos estudados durante os semestres
do Curso de Línguas Estrangeiras Aplicadas ao Multilinguismo e à Sociedade da
Informação (LEA-MSI) para reconhecer a relevância das disciplinas e sua relação com a
Sociedade da Informação, a partir de leituras, que irão contribuir para sensibilizar o olhar
crítico dos estudantes sobre a produção de informação, - para que essa produção se
transforme em conhecimento efetivo. Esta é também uma proposta de reflexão sobre as
ações necessárias, para identificar a utilidade dos conteúdos, que são produzidos durante
a formação deste curso. Este texto possui três partes interligadas pela definição dos
conceitos listados: Na primeira, é feito um apanhado histórico da Ciência da Informação,
com foco na Sociedade da Informação e seus efeitos na produção intelectual; na segunda,
alguns aspectos conceituais introdutórios relacionados ao excesso de informação e, na
terceira, discute como o equilíbrio entre produção de informação e desenvolvimento
intelectual supostamente promove o conhecimento. Propomos a inserção de uma
disciplina que analisa a produção de textos curados, e possibilite o equilíbrio das
necessidades de informação na promoção do conhecimento, contra os efeitos da
sobrecarga de informação, especialmente nesta graduação, na perspectiva da curadoria da
produção, na constituição de conteúdos que transformam a realidade social. | pt_BR |

on the Internet and its effects on intellectual production, in addition to establishing an
overview of concepts that demonstrate how the informational explosion occurs. The
proposal is to understand how the contents studied during the semesters of the Course of
Foreign Languages Applied to Multilingualism and the Information Society (LEA-MSI)
work in order to recognize the relevance of the disciplines and their relationship with the
Information Society, based on readings, that will contribute to sensitize the critical eye of
students on the production of information, - so that this production becomes effective
knowledge. This is also a proposal for reflection on the necessary actions, to identify the
usefulness of the contents, which are produced during the formation of this course. This
text has three parts interconnected by the definition of the listed concepts: In the first, a
historical overview of Information Science is made, focusing on the Information Society
and its effects on intellectual production; in the second, some introductory conceptual
aspects related to the excess of information and, in the third, discuss how to balance the
production of information and the intellectual development that supposedly promotes
knowledge. We propose the inclusion of a discipline that analyses the production of
curated texts and enables the balance of information needs in the promotion of
knowledge, against the effects of information overload, especially in this graduation, from
the perspective of curating the production, in the constitution of contents that transform

d'établir un panorama des concepts qui démontrent comment se produit l'explosion

étudiés lors des semestres du Cours de Langues Etrangères Appliquées au Multilinguisme
et à la Société de l'Information (LEA-MSI) afin de reconnaître la pertinence des
disciplines et leur rapport avec la Société de l'Information, à partir de lectures, qui
contribueront à sensibiliser l'œil critique des élèves sur la production d'informations, -
pour que cette production devienne un savoir effectif. C'est aussi une proposition de
réflexion sur les actions nécessaires, pour identifier l'utilité des contenus, qui sont produits
lors de la formation de ce cours. Ce texte comporte trois parties reliées entre elles par la
définition des concepts énumérés : Dans la première, un aperçu historique des sciences
de l'information est fait, en se concentrant sur la société de l'information et ses effets sur
la production intellectuelle ; dans le second, quelques aspects conceptuels introductifs liés
à l'excès d'information et, dans le troisième, discute de la façon dont l'équilibre entre la
production d'information et le développement intellectuel favorise la connaissance. Nous
proposons l'insertion d'une discipline qui analyse la production de textes organisés et
permet l'équilibre des besoins d'information dans la promotion des connaissances, contre
les effets de la surcharge d'informations, en particulier dans cette graduation, du point de
vue de la conservation de la production, dans la constitution de contenus qui transforment
