Da ditadura à democracia : o pleito às Malvinas como uma constante na história política argentina (1820-1983)

Abstract

O marco transicional da democracia argentina ocorreu após uma grande crise enfrentada, em pleno século XX, na sua trajetória política: a Guerra das Malvinas. Por meio do estudo que transpassa o início da soberania das Ilhas até a ruptura do último regime ditatorial, que tem como recorte temporal o período de 1820 a 1983, pretende-se apresentar a importância das Ilhas Malvinas como uma constante na história política do governo Argentino. Além disso, serão levantados indicadores da perpetuação desse interesse secular argentino na recuperação da soberania do arquipélago, que ficou sob sua posse por apenas 13 anos. O presente trabalho almeja, ademais, analisar o comportamento do governo argentino frente às Ilhas, dando ênfase especial ao período que circunda a Guerra das Malvinas. Esse marco temporal dar-se-á por motivos de discrepâncias no trato do conflito pela Junta Militar e pelo governo democrático, porém, ao mesmo tempo, por ambos terem em comum o interesse em recuperar a soberania das Ilhas. ________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

The transitional framework of Argentinean democracy occurred after a major crisis faced in the twentieth century in its political career: the Falklands War. Through the study that pierces the start of the sovereignty of the islands until breakage of the last dictatorship that has as timeframe the period 1820-1983 it is intended to present the importance of the Falkland Islands as a constant in the political history of the Argentinean government . In addition, will be raised indicators of Argentinean‟s perpetuation in this secular interest in the recovery of the archipelago‟s sovereignty, which was in its possession for only 13 years. This study aims, further, to analyze the Argentine government's behavior in the islands, with special emphasis on the period surrounding the Falklands War. This timeframe will be given for reasons of discrepancies in the treatment of the conflict by the military forces and the democratic government, but at the same time, both have a common interest in recovering the sovereignty of the islands.
